How do I share my membership with my family?

Our Silver and Gold Compass Memberships allow sharing of courses with 4 additional family members.

For the best experience in setting up sharing, we recommend using a computer rather than a mobile device.

To set up sharing, follow these steps:

Step 1

Parent should login to their account on mycompassclassroom.com and go to the Family Sharing Dashboard. You can find it on the left sidebar of MyCompassClassroom.

Look in the left sidebar for the silhouette icon.

Step 2

There are two ways to share courses.

Option 1

If your student has an email address of their own, just enter the email address in the 'Add Additional Children' email box and click the 'Add Child' button. This will automatically register the child to the website and create a password for them, which they can reset via the email they will receive.

Option 2

If they don't have an email address, you can create an account for them that will be linked to your email address using the section with the heading 'Add additional children without email'. After filling out the appropriate form, click the 'Add Child' button.

Now you'll want to assign courses to your children from the parent account. After logging in as the parent and going to the Family Sharing Dashboard, scroll down to the section that lets you link courses. Use the selection boxes to quickly select which courses you want to give to your student. Then use the dropdown below to choose which student to assign them to.

Choose the courses you want to assign to a specific child.

Once the student is linked to a course, go ahead and have them sign into their mycompassclassroom.com account, then access their courses by selecting the ' My Courses' tab on the top left menu.

As a parent, you can use the 'Student Progress Reports' tab on the Family Sharing Dashboard to see how your students are progressing and any quiz scores they have received.
